A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Lucy and welcome to Canine Cariad!

I am the proud owner of two German Shepherds. I love nothing more than spending time with them whether it be walking, grooming, training or playing with them. I knew my ideal career would be working with dogs, after all, they say if you do what you love then you’ll never work a day in your life!

Whilst out walking them in 2014, my local dog grooming salon caught my eye and so I looked up their website and saw they did beginners grooming courses. Initially thinking of it as a helping hand to groom my own long haired dog, I became interested in pursuing a career.

I worked in Gowerton Dog Grooming for almost 5 years and learnt so much about not only the grooming, but the behaviour, training and caring of dogs.

I began to volunteer in local dog rescue centres to gain more experience in different environments and knew I wouldn’t stop there!

I then went on to do a Canine First Aid Course and a Dog Walking course.

In January 2019, I decided to take my career with dogs in a new direction and pursue dog walking. Whatever the obstacle may be, I will help your dog get the exercise they need as well as providing support and reliability to you and your family.
